Buddy Holly’s Winter Dance PartySaturday 10th May 7.30pm
Buddy Holly’s Winter Dance Party recreates that historic last tour of Buddy Holly. Starring Marc Robinson (‘Stars in Your Eyes and ‘The Buddy Holly Story’) as Buddy and featuring the country’s best Ritchie Valens, Big Bopper and Dion tribute artistes with support from The Counterfeit Crickets. This superbly authentic show is packed full of rock n roll hits – 40 songs performed with the same raw energy that the original artistes thrilled their audiences with.

Buddy had had enough of the miserable travelling conditions and chartered a four seater plane for the next leg of the tour.
That night’s performance was magical as the fans went wild for their rock n roll heroes as they played their biggest hits including The Wanderer (Dion & The Belmonts), Chantilly Lace (Big Bopper), La Bamba (Ritchie Valens) and That’ll Be The Day, Peggy Sue and Oh Boy (Buddy Holly)
Just a few hours later the plane carrying Holly, Valens and The Big Bopper crashed just outside Mason City. There were no survivors.

By the time they arrived at The Surf Ballroom in Clear Lake, lowa on February 2nd the tour bus had developed heating problems and all onboard were tired, cold and fed up.

Jackson Starring NaviFriday 16th May 7.30pm
KING OF POP – THE LEGEND CONTINUES...
This superb production stars ‘Navi’ who is officially recognised as the world’s No.1 Michael Jackson impersonator. He is also the only tribute ever to be chosen by Michael Jackson himself. Michael selected Navi to perform at two of his birthday parties and actually gave him a standing ovation after one of his performances. Michael also invited Navi to spend a day at his home ‘Neverland’. The pair remained close and due to Navi’s uncanny resemblance to the star, he was often hired to act as Michael’s decoy/body double.

An Evening with Pam AyresWednesday 14th May, 7.30pm
Pam Ayres brings her latest show to the West Cliff Theatre following the recent publication of her new book of poetry, copies of which she will be signing after the show.
Pam Ayres’ work is funny, and approachable. It sounds simple, as though dashed off, but this is deceptive. Her hair-trigger timing, her eye for the detail of everyday life, and for the absurdity therein, makes for an art that hides art.
Pam has sold millions of books, CDs, and DVDs over the years, and she is still a regular on TV and Radio, on programmes such as Just A Minute, Ayres On The Air, QI, Countdown, and The One Show.
“PAM AYRES has an incredible way with an audience. She was really one of the funniest comics I’ve seen, and it’s because of her rapport. She just treats the audience like a huge roomful of friends.”
